Illusive Comics & Games, LLC is a 14 year old store that is the largest comic book and game store in the Bay Area. Presently, we are open from 11am-7pm.
We are hiring for one position. Applicants must either be 21 years old or have 2 years of higher education.
Dungeon Master/Customer Service Employee
This is a full time position. Availability should be between the hours of 11a-7p, with the ability to work later evenings in the future, as we add Events. Applicants will need to be able to work Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Duties include
• Crafting and running monthly D&D events for children and for adults in-store.
• Informing and helping customers while they are shopping.
• Ringing up customers.
• Cleaning and maintaining the high standards of the store appearance.
• Processing new shipments, and adding items to our eCommerce site.
• Crafting social media posts.
Required skills:
• At least 1 year being a Dungeon Master, not merely a D&D player.
• Experience working with children.
• Be friendly and outgoing, but able to manage not being too talkative with customers and co-workers.
• Be able to multi-task and follow through on To Do lists
• An ability to work in stressful situations with crowds of customers
• Have at least 2 years of Customer Service or Sales experience in a Retail setting
• Be able to lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds.
Preferred skills:
• A working knowledge of current comics and/or boardgames
• Experienced with Google Drive and Point of Sales (POS) systems
• Have an excellent sense of sarcasm
• Be able to lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds.
We offer some nifty perks. There will be no time to read comics or play games during your shift. We are a very busy business and there is always more work than there is time.
Compensation depends upon experience.
